Creasy, a veteran mercenary, had found solitude on a small, Mediterranean island, far from the violent conflicts of his past profession.
That solitude is broken when he is confronted by Juliet, a thirteen-year-old heroin addict whose life has been almost destroyed by 'The Blue Ring', a powerful, worldwide cartel dealing in drugs, prostitution and the use of Satanism to pursue their ends. Now Creasy Has a new mission to hunt down the evil men who trade in death and degradation ... and destroy their paymaster, the evil genius at the centre of an international web of corruption.

The Creasey series starts with the truly excellent "Man on Fire" (later made into a movie). There are five books in the series that I know of. While all of them have basically the same idea (Creasey and friends vs bad guys), The Blue Ring's villains are perhaps the least believable. Still a good read, but it requires a bit more "suspension of disbelief" than the others.Product details

The Blue Ring A Creasy novel Book 3 edition by A J Quinnell Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Enjoyed the writing-crisp and intense. To bad Quinnell passed away years ago.
I've read all five books in such short order that they blend in a bit. Blue Ring was up to the level of the best of the other books, but some of the narrative is not as dynamic as in other books, which I would say is totally to be expected. It's still a great read and no question, you'll want to read it for the continuity of the series.
Another stellar Creasy novel. I was inspired to read this series having watched "The Man on Fire" many times. So far no book in the series has let me down.
From the beginning to the end a true spellbinder I would recommend anyone who enjoys her action-packed novels to read the whole series. I couldn't put it down I read the whole thing in three days
Not a book to begin unless you have time to read it in one long session. A gripping page turner as were the previous Creasy novels.
Just simply fabulous
And on to number 3.
Same cast of characters a few years on.
Some new additions. Adding interest and tension.
Starting number 4 very soon.
"The Blue Ring" is the 3rd of 5 Creasy novels written by A. J. Quinnell. The story here is that young, innocent, girls are harmed by evil men and our hero Creasy is an avenging angel who sets everything right. The Greek god in mythology named Nemesis was a remorseless goddess the goddess of revenge. That's Creasy! The used paperback book I got has a photo that looks like you are looking through a cross shaped keyhole to see a teenage girl. At least 2 new characters come to Creasy's aid, so his team becomes larger. Colonel Satta of the carabinieri has a bigger role in this book. Remember to read book 2 in the Creasy series The Perfect Kill
